Education

With regards to education, Ghori Trust donated funds to The Citizens Foundation (TCF) for the establishment of a school and its running costs for three years. The school sponsored by Ghori Trust is located in Taiser Town, North Karachi. TCF Ghori Campus provides quality primary education to over 200 students with a teaching staff comprising of 6 tutors. TCF is a non-profit organization that operates over 650 schools in Pakistan providing subsidized education to 85,000 children.

Ghori Trust has donated funds to The Hunar Foundation (THF) for opening a vocational education school in order to promote the cause of technical education. THF accredited by City & Guilds (UK), aims to create a new cadre of skilled Pakistanis with internationally recognized technical qualifications that open up a world of opportunities for them.

Ghori Trust encourages higher education and continued learning. In this regard, 3 students are being fully sponsored to attain MBA degrees from Iqra University.

Ghori Trust with the help of Matco Rice initiated its “1st Apprenticeship / Technical Training Program” at Matco’s production facilities. The objective of this program was to give theoretical and practical knowledge of technical skills with the aim that the youth will be provided with employment skills and future job opportunities. In 2010, 15 young men were paid a monthly stipend and inducted in a designed course for teaching basic electrical knowledge, workshop practices (welding), plant maintenance, and power generation.
